Sandra Albrecht

Sandra was born in Houston, Texas. In the 1970's she moved to Denver and worked in the oil
industry for 4 years, before meeting her husband to be, Stan Albrecht. They lived in Solana Beach, California prior to moving to Kansas City, Missouri where Stan attended medical school. In 1985 they moved to the Big Island of Hawaii and in 1986 Sandra became a licensed Realtor and Property Manager. Sandra & Stan would eventually move to Oahu for better opportunities. Sandra began working for a small mortgage company. This eventually led to Sandra commuting to Maui on a weekly basis as a Loan Officer. Sandra was offered a position as a Loan Officer on Maui with the same mortgage company, so she and Stan jumped at the chance to move after experiencing the different pace of life on Maui, which Hawaiians refer to as Maui “No Kai Oi” (Maui is the Best). When the small mortgage company closed the Maui office, Sandra reinstated her Real Estate license and again began working as a Property Manager. Before long she was also actively selling real estate.

In 2006 Sandra and Stan founded Island Oasis Realty, which specialized in Sales and Property
Management. When the downturn in the market came shortly after starting the company, that did not set them back. Island Oasis Realty sold Real Estate Owned (REO) and Short Sale properties as well as managing long term rentals. In 2009 Stan was diagnosed with cancer and lost his battle to the disease in 2013. Luckily, Sandra was surrounded with good, supportive people in her business and personal life which helped her through that difficult time.

In 2017 Sandra sold her Property Management business to Hawaii Life Real Estate. By that time,
she was managing long term rentals and vacation rentals. The decision to sell Island Oasis Realty came after deciding she wanted to have more time to enjoy life and have less daily pressure.

Since selling her Property Management business Sandra has started to appreciate where she lives more than ever before. The beautiful island of Maui is not something that should be taken for granted. Now her day does not start with an alarm clock, it starts with the sound of the birds chirping and taking a walk with her new partner, Jerry Dow, dog Ginger, and her cat, Mr. Walker. Now, there is time to go to yoga and spin class before and after working for clients, having a more balanced life.

Sandra has found gardening a wonderful grounding experience and enjoys spending time in her
garden. She also attends Japanese flower arranging classes when she and Jerry aren’t traveling
abroad or to the Mainland. Scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding are also hobbies Sandra enjoys. Sandra has a reputation for fairness, outstanding client service, and negotiation skills with her clients while having their best interest at heart. Sandra enjoys being a professional supplying accurate information and market insight for her clients to help them make the best decision possible when selling or purchasing Maui real estate.
