New Waimea Bypass Road Saves Time – From Parker Ranch Rodeo Grounds to Ace Hardware
There’s a new road in Waimea town!
It’s the Waimea Bypass Road, located near the Parker Ranch Rodeo Grounds, this back road goes all the way to Ace Hardware in Waimea, between Ace and the Parker Ranch Shopping Center intersection!
From Mamalahoa Hwy. at Parker Ranch Rodeo Grounds—turn right on this new bypass road!
This road passes the south entry to Lalamilo Subdivision in Waimea…and should be connecting to other roads in future developments.
Great views from the Waimea Bypass Road
And the views of Waimea are breathtaking! On a gorgeous day you would think you’re in heaven on earth…and you are!
Wide streets clearly marked…out in the country…happy commuters!
So, you turn left at the end of the road (there’s ranch land and a home at the corner to the right) and you come out at the stop light of Ace Hardware and the two Waimea Shopping Centers!
Coming up to the area behind Parker Ranch Center toward Ace Hardware
It took me all of 3-5 minutes to get through this area where, typically, there would be some traffic in Waimea town, plus 2 stop lights…at high noon! I’m so glad I missed all of that!
Special thanks to the State Department of Transportation and the State Department of Hawaiian Home Lands for studying the area and making sure our developments assist the community in making better roads for our Ohana and guests to commute on! We look forward to more mauka-makai and side streets to come!
Blessings to our travels!

Wow!! Haven’t been on the bypass road yet, looks like a great way to miss the congestion through town… They’ve been talking about this road for over 30 years now, so glad to see things finally progressing!! Thanks for the update, Claire!!
