Waikoloa Village – An Ideal Retirement Community Along the Kohala Coast
If you’re looking for a full-service town with some perks, Waikoloa might just be your long awaited retirement community. Some of the best beaches on the coast are a quick trip down the hill. Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea, Puako’s Beach 69, Spencer Beach Park, and A-Bay, to name a few, are within close proximity to the Village. If you have young children, Waikoloa is a great place to live as well, and has that community feel.
Waikoloa Village Home
A Full-Service Town with Some Perks
There is a full-service supermarket, bank, and post office to name some of the key services available. Waikoloa Village Association is the community association with mandatory membership. The fees (under $600 a year) will get you access to a community pool, tennis courts, and discounted green fees at the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones golf course, also located in the Village.
With all this, you cannot miss the spectacular views of many mountains or the sunsets and ocean views from many areas in the Village. Located approximately 30 minutes to Kona International Airport, you have the convenience of travel with an easy commute.
With all this going for it, you might also want to know there are pretty steady trade winds giving a cooling effect to the generally balmy and tropical nature of the area. There are so many restaurants to go to along the resort coast just down at sea level, and if you want to really cool off and enjoy Saturday farmers markets, you can travel up hill just 20 minutes to Waimea. Also in Waimea you can enjoy much that the Kahilu Theater offers in the way of planned events.
Live in Waikoloa
The Waikoloa location is great for people who are working in the resort community at any one of the hotels or businesses with a quick commute home. Check out this new listing with an open floor plan.
