Buying a Home During COVID-19
I was recently blessed with the opportunity to show property to VA Buyer clients of mines during the safer at home orders. It was an experience; one that I was not used to. Although I’ve been present for all of our Seller client’s showings with potential Buyers and their realtors – being my Buyer client’s representation was different.
Here’s how:
- Preparing and Educating the Buyer as my Client for protocols and what is appropriate.
- Providing Masks, Gloves, Sanitizers is a must.
- Setting expectations and requirements: Drive by the property & surrounding area, view the matterport, do as much upfront research as possible.
Our goal and concern during this time is obviously safety and health. It’s incredible we’re able to continue showing property while remaining safe. The protocols set in place by HBR and Hawaii Life have allowed us the opportunity to continue what we do best.
How Did Our Buyer Clients Like the Experience?
They appreciated the extra precautions that were taken. It’s always a little odd talking with a facemask on and honestly, a little difficult to even tell how someone is feeling without seeing facial expressions.
Ultimately, they enjoyed it and we plan on submitting an offer!
