The Value of a Transferable Permit

Kauai has strict regulations surrounding short-term rentals. There are only about 500 permitted nightly rentals on the entire island of Kauai that are outside of resort zones, and the county no longer issues new TVR permits. Without a TVR permit, rentals are limited to terms of 6 months or more. One of the standout features of property is its transferable TVR permit, allowing new owners to continue operating as a vacation rental without interruption.

When a place with a TVR permit goes on the market, it should lose the permit. Anyone looking into that proposal?
