Spotlight on Christian Weis – Southern, Social and Real Estate Savvy

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Christian Weis has been living on the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai, having made the leap at the age of 26. Having grown up in the south where customs and traditions are an important part of life, she’s connected to that same spirit here in Hawaii, where the culture is deeply rooted in beauty and respect. “Kauai is full of such raw beauty it inspires me through my work to create beautiful relationships and environments,” she says of her island home.

Christian has been a real estate professional for three years now. She says she’s focused great care in guiding her mainland and foreign clients to homes on Kauai, and often they’ve closed transactions without ever setting foot in the home. “I have been able to virtually assist my clients through closing since the beginning of my career with Hawaii Life,” says Christian. It’s a great skill to have honed now as the global pandemic keeps us all at home.

Christian’s family took her traveling from a young age and she got to experience other cultures and meet children her own age from around the globe.  It led her to develop a deep fascination with people. “We are extraordinary!” she says. “What I love most about real estate is getting to meet people from all over – not just visitors, but residents alike – they always have a story to tell.”

She joined Hawaii Life after leaving behind a corporate job on the mainland, having grown weary of the hierarchical structure. “It was hard to imagine there was a company out there that matched my values and interests. Hawaii Life was the only option for me!”

Christian loves reading Architectural Digest and home magazines for inspiration she can carry into her work with her clients. She’s also a very adept social media and digital marketer with a substantial online presence that has helped her stay connected to clients through the recent stay-at-home orders. Christian has published a series of detailed and comprehensive blogs to help keep her clients informed and up to speed with the swiftly changing events of recent months. In her free time, you can also find her working in her garden and caring for her chickens and pet goats. “It’s rewarding eating the food you grow! I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends hiking, surfing, or at the beach!” she says. “I can surf in Hanalei Bay and bundle up around a campfire in Koke’e all in one day!”

“We are lucky to have two National Parks here in Hawaii. Having visited both of them, it’s impossible to say which is my favorite! If you haven’t been to either, make sure you visit both!”
