This year more than ever, I’m shopping local for holiday gifts. I was able to make the U.S. Postal Service deadline for shipping of 12/15/20, and my family on the mainland will surely enjoy the unique gifts coming their way this year from some of my favorite Kauai shops.
Favorite Local Shops on Kauai
Seaweed & Sage
One little gem is the new Seaweed & Sage in Kapaa Town. It’s the little white cottage at 4516 Lehua Street. They have fantastic cards and all kinds of unique gifts. From lunch boxes to key chains, clothing, and beach bags, there is something for everyone at this little boutique. They don’t have a website yet, but you can find them on Instagram and Facebook.
Kauai Juice Co.
If you haven’t been to Kauai Juice Co., you are missing out on some healthy and delicious cold-pressed juices and elixirs made from locally sourced farms. This locally-owned juice company has locations in Kapaa, behind Mermaids Cafe and Java Kai on the makai (ocean side) of the highway, and in Poipu in the Poipu Village Shopping Center. Bone broth, small pre-made meals, organic clothing, and hats are also available. Let the fun folks at Kauai Juice Co. put some pep in your step. Their online store is always open!
Hawaii Says Hi
Last and certainly not least is the sustainable goods shop Hawaii Says Hi in the Warehouse 3540 on Koloa Rd. A unique offering of textiles, jewelry, skincare, and art. They also have CLEAN KAUAI….a really cool (and the very first) refillable cleaning supply station on Kauai. Purchase glass bottles at the shop or bring your own to refill your laundry soap, all-purpose spray, hand soap, dish soap, etc. They offer a wide selection of sustainable and essential items to keep your home, and our island, clean.
