Big Island

Shangri-La In Kapoho on The Big Island is Now Available Through Hawaii Life Vacation Rentals

Island Bedroom

This is not your standard rental…it's Shangri-La

One of a kind…

Having appeared in television shows and international travel publications and leased by numerous celebrities, all the hype is but a reflection of the tropical serenity that exists in and amongst the four Bali-style cottages, the naturally heated bathing lagoon, and the vestiges of old-Hawaii spirit throughout.

Bedroom-1-A

Rustic on the outside doesn't necessitate rustic on the inside

Featuring 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths (sleeps 8), this unique and idyllic retreat-style home located in the lava-rich Kapoho on the Northeast coast of the Big Island is a tropical wonderland and will be a sanctuary for anyone who gets the chance to stay.

Four Bali-style Cottages

The Round House — which includes a full-size bed — is a 700 sq. ft multi-purpose structure used for yoga, meditation, exercise, massage, entertaining, or just laying low and taking in some TV. Along with a full kitchen, the Pavilion has two bedrooms and two baths, the outside one offering a sunken Jacuzzi-style tub, sauna, and shower.

The aptly named Island Bedroom, with a connecting bridge, sits on a plot of rock in the middle of the lagoon and welcomes steady tropical breezes blowing by the full bed. Perched above the lagoon on the edge of the property is the Guest House, a private cottage with a queen bed, kitchenette, dining area, outdoor bath, and a large lanai.
