Residential Construction Resumes at Kohala Waterfront

I am pleased to say, even with a general lack of confidence in the economy, ground has again been broken and construction has commenced on a new residence at Kohala Waterfront. In fact, several more homes are on the drawing board.

Kohala Waterfront is a unique, gated, ocean front development of 50 residential lots, situated north of the major Big Island resorts of Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani. It is three miles north of Kawaihae on Akoni Pule Highway. This residential project provides owners the opportunity of enjoying superior ocean views while experiencing an informal, uncluttered island lifestyle devoid of all the big resort hustle and bustle, noise, and traffic congestion.

I believe it’s this uniqueness that attracts residents to Kohala Waterfront. They enjoy the privacy and quiet lifestyle here, yet only minutes away are the nearby hotel resorts with their social, tennis, or golf memberships available to island residents.

Via a short drive along the coast, a Kohala Waterfront resident can leave for a round of 18 holes on a world-class golf course, play tennis with friends and family, or take an afternoon sail out of Kawaihae Harbor. In the evening, they retreat back to their tranquil and private domain of this great, relatively undiscovered little oasis, and enjoy a Sundowner while watching the sun drop into the broad blue Pacific.

A super benefit of owning a piece of this paradise is that residential lots range from sea level to approximately 200 feet above the Pacific, thus affording every homeowner a spectacular unhindered ocean view.

Association fees are a very modest $350.00 per month, unlike the big ticket resort fees that accompany the hotel resorts that can run into thousands of dollars. Prices are at all time lows and buyers may benefit from some real interesting deals.

At Kohala Waterfront, every lot owner has a tremendous ocean view plus Big Island privacy. If you’re looking for privacy and superb oceanfront vistas, contact me for more information. You’ll be glad you did.

Aloha, from the best island, the Big Island of Hawaii!

Thank you for your blog, Michael. You are well known in the community as the Kohala Waterfront expert… what do you have in your sleeves these days? Which lots would you consider as your best buys?

Nice to see new starts. It’s always a sign of the market improving when new construction builds again! Great information.
