Ocean view homes on Kauai’s north shore are in high demand. It’s no secret that Kauai’s north shore is one of the most spectacularly beautiful places on the planet. Beautiful beaches. Mountain vistas. Crashing surf. North shore real estate is far and away the most popular and valuable on Kauai.
It’s hard to find something that’s “off the beaten path”, especially one that has it all. Acreage. Whitewater ocean views. Mountain views. Privacy. Quality construction. The list goes on…
MLS # 268923, on Kauai’s northeast shore, is probably the best “sleeper” listing currently available. Why? Because it’s not ‘technically’ on the north shore. It’s just outside of the Hanalei tax district, making it all the less obvious. Located just below Aliomanu Estates, in a private community called Aliomanu Kai, the location also provides hot and dry weather, more similar to Poipu than the rain of the north shore.
And if views of crashing surf and breaching whales aren’t enough… then there’s always the backdrop of Kalalea, the distinct mountain range to the west.
Being off the beaten path has its benefits. It’s quieter, for one. It’s the last house, at the top of a hill, off of a private cul-de-cac, off a road with no outlets. Quiet. It’s also a a very short walk to a few equally quiet beaches. Snorkel, stand up paddle, surf. All right out front. Literally.

There is alot to be said for being “off the beaten path”… great home in a quiet area and the beach is not crowded! And…as you sit on the top of the hill, oh the experiences to be had… the sun rising over the ocean, the surf breaking, whales breaching, and the glow of the sunset behind the Kong Mountains.
