President Obama is spending another Christmas vacation here on Oahu. The “Winter White House” (as named by several media outlets) that he stayed at in 2008 as President Elect, and again in 2009 as the President, was sold this past summer.

Did the attention that this property receive by having the President and his family stay there for 2 Christmas holidays in a row play a part in the sale of this exclusive beachfront estate?

Kailua has always been a quiet beachfront community with boutique shops, restaurants, and an incredible 2 mile plus stretch of soft white sandy beaches that the locals enjoy year-round. There is a Whole Foods Market under construction and a another giant in the industry, Target, is also planning to open a store in Kailua.

From 1/1/2009 to 12/31/2009, there were 234 properties that sold in Kailua Beach, and from 1/1/2010 until current date 12/20/2010, there have been 270 properties close escrow and 39 more currently in escrow.

Once again, the First Family and their dog, Bo, have chosen Kailua Beach to spend their Christmas Holiday, and live the Hawaii Life!
