Mother’s Day Fun on the Big Island of Hawaii

Beach time fun with Mom!

Celebrating the mothers who raised us with such love and care over the years is something I cherish every day, but most especially on Mother’s Day. It’s a special day to enjoy spending quality time together and what follows are some of my top picks of what to do this Sunday on the Big Island of Hawaii’s beautiful West Coast:

Ocean front dining at ‘ULU Ocean Grill + Sushi Lounge. Photo courtesy of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.

‘ULU Ocean Grill on the beach at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is offering its traditional Mother’s Day Brunch. This brunch extravaganza includes a variety of seasonally-inspired dishes created by its stellar culinary team, including snow crab claws, miso-glazed kampachi, Hualalai-cultivated oysters, and an assortment of fresh island fruits and sinfully delicious pastries and desserts.

Flowers and jewelry make for great Mother’s Day gifts.

For a little glam and fabulous luxury bling, stop by Tiffany & Co. at the Waikoloa’s Kings’ Shops for its Mother’s Day Jewelry event from 12pm-4pm. The new Paper Flowers Collection will be on display with champagne and additional treats will be on offer throughout the store.

Pauoa Beach at the Fairmont Orchid.

Fairmont Orchid’s Spa Without Walls at Mauna Lani Resort on the spectacular Kohala Coast was the first of its kind on Hawaii Island and remains one of the very best with indoor treatment rooms, incredible beachfront massage hales (small house), and hales lining a tropical waterfall. Among the many relaxing and unique Hawaiian-inspired services are the signature “Hiwahiwa Refresh” treatment, featuring Hawaiian Mamaki and Volcanic Mud. The spa also offers a family friendly menu with treatments designed for children aged 4-17 so the family can enjoy along with Mom!

Love and relaxation for Mom on Mother’s Day – and every day!
