Mauna Kea Resort Sales Pick Up in the First Quarter of 2010

First quarter 2010 stats show that real estate sales are finally picking up at Mauna Kea Resort.

Sales are increasing at Wai’ula’ula at the Mauna Kea Resort, where residents enjoy their own private fitness, swimming, and amenity centers.

In the first quarter of 2009, the Kohala Coast’s Mauna Kea Resort did not have one sale; guests and potential buyers were anxious to follow up with the re-opening of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on Hawaii’s Big Island and its golf course, whose 44 year-old luxury resort shut down after the 2006 earthquake caused structural damage.

But as of the first quarter of 2010, two out of 11 resort communities of the Mauna Kea Resort were selling:

Wai’ula’ula at Mauna Kea Resort had 2 sales (fourplex units at $900,ooo and $975,000) and 2 contingent sales, all below the million dollar range.

Kauna’oa at Mauna Kea Resort saw 5 vacant building lots sell (ranging from $995,000 to $2,000,000). These lots are situated at a walking distance to Hawaii’s best beach and include membership to a private club facility with pool, workout hale, lockers and a 3-par pitch and putt course.

The Mauna Kea inventory is growing.

The different resort communities of the Mauna Kea give buyers the opportunity to enjoy the resort’s lifestyle at a different price points, while accessing all the amenities that make the resort a world-renowned destination and a unique place to live.

For instance, you can choose to be on the “makai” (ocean) side of the Mauna Kea Resort and buy one of the three Villas at the Mauna Kea (2 bed /2.5 bath offered from $2,099,000 to $2,800,000).

Or, you can follow the steps of most buyers, who are opting for the “mauka” (mountain) side of the Mauna Kea Resort, where there are currently 28 properties for sale, located in different neighborhoods.

Alternatively, you can choose one of the four residences at the Fairways at Mauna Kea North (from $3,150,000 to $4,500,000).

You may also favor one the three spectacular ocean view lots at the Fairways at Mauna Kea North between 24,606 sq ft to 33,874 sq ft (and offered at $1,900,000 to $3,000,000).
