Mauna Kea Resort Market Update: 2019 Sales on Track to Exceed 2018

In the first five months of 2019, Mauna Kea Realty has accounted for 10 sales within Mauna Kea Resort totaling over $21 million in volume. As a result, our listing inventory of available properties at the resort and along the Kona/Kohala Coast is very low. As we approach the Summer season, this is an opportune time for property owners to take advantage of a continuing strong market as there is a need for additional inventory in all segments of the market.

Within Mauna Kea Resort, there were 28 closed transactions in 2018. Through the first five months of 2019, there have been 17 closed transactions and an additional eight properties are currently under contract. We will continue to watch this trend as the year progresses to see if the sales of 2019 will surpass that of 2018, as well as the 33 sales that were recorded in 2017.
