Maui Weekend Events – September 20

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui has some fun in store for us. The Kitten Lady will be on Maui doing a workshop at the Andaz with the Maui Humane Society. The Ocean Center is hosting a Sharks after Dark Paniolo Nights party featuring Country music and cuisine. Additionally, it’s time for MBC’s annual Oktoberfest celebration.   And lastly, we have a few MIL football games and volleyball games this weekend on Maui.

The Kitten Lady Comes to Maui!

The Maui Humane Society brings the Kitten Lady to Maui. They will be hosting a neonatal workshop at the Andaz Maui at Wailea. The Kitten Lady Comes to Maui takes place this Sunday from 9 am – 3 pm. It is broken up into morning and afternoon sessions with a VIP meet & greet in between. Registration covers attendance for both sessions. Proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit Maui Humane Society. The workshop will cover basic kitten care, fostering kittens, the importance of TNR (Trap Neuter Return) for the community and more.

Sharks After Dark Paniolo Nights

Maui Ocean Center is hosting a 21-and-over Paniolo Night this Saturday from 6:00 – 9:30 pm. This event will feature country music. Country comfort food and drink by Seascape Restaurant will be on hand with a full-service bar. Diver presentations and Humpbacks of Hawaii screenings for your entertainment. Tickets $25 in advance or $35 at door. Free for members.

Oktoberfest at Maui Brewing Company Kihei

Celebrate Oktoberfest this Sunday afternoon at MBC Kihei. The Party starts at 4 and runs until 8 pm. Celebrate with delicious food, great beer and entertainment. A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit the Maui Fire Store, a local grassroots non-profit benefiting all of Maui’s heroic First Responders.

MIL Sports

We have two Division I Football games this weekend. Friday’s game, Baldwin will meet Lahainaluna in Lahaina.   Saturday night, Molokai plays Kamehameha Maui at Kamehameha. Game start for both games is 7 pm.

There is one 8-Man Football this weekend. This Friday night, Hana plays Kulanihakoi at War Memorial.  Game start is 6 pm.

There are four matchups this weekend in Division II Volleyball. Seabury is holding first place! There are two games Friday night and two games Saturday morning. Friday night, Haleakala Waldorf plays Molokai at the Haliimaile Gym and Kihei Charter meets Lanai at Seabury Hall. Game start is 6 pm for both games. Saturday morning, these teams rematch. Haleakala Waldorf and Molokai will meet at Haliimaile Gym again. Kihei Charter and Lanai will match up at the South Maui Gym. Both Saturday morning game start times is 10 am.
