Maui Weekend Events – October 11

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui has some fun in store. We have some great live music, stargazing in Lahaina, a hilarious play at ProArts Maui, late night fun and MIL sports. The weekend opens with Rocktober at Mulligans. There is a Keiki Stargazing event on Saturday. Two Coffees, Please presents ART by Yasmina Reza at ProArts Maui with shows every night this weekend. Additionally, Mala will be running their late-night menu this weekend. And lastly, we have a few MIL football and volleyball games this weekend on Maui.

Rocktober at Mulligans

Mulligans on the Blue and Aloha Growers present Rocktober this Friday night. This is an opportunity to dress up and rock out. Showtime 7 – 10 pm and features live music by The Roundabouts, Satterday Saints and Riah & the Get Down. The theme is spandex and ’80s and ’90s music.

Keiki Stargazing Event

Maui Farm Events and Stargazers Anonymous present Keiki Stargazing Event at 700 Punakea Loop in Lahaina this Saturday. This will be a guided tour of the Hawaiian night sky. A Celestron telescope will be used. Guides will be sharing accessible astronomy concepts and constellation tracing. Tickets are $75 and include light refreshments and snacks and a small astronomy themed gift for the keiki. This is a BYOB event! Glassware and ice provided. The 90-minute presentation starts at 7:30 pm. Check in time is 7:15 pm. This month and next month are already sold out but they are booking future dates already and this looks really fun!

ART by Yasmina Reza

Two Coffees, Please presents ART by Yasmina Reza translated by Christopher Hampton. This comedic play is the 1998 Winner of Tony Award for Best Play and the 1996 Winner of the Oliver Award for Best Comedy. The show opens Thursday night and runs every night through Sunday. Showtime Thursday, Friday and Saturday is 7:30 pm and Sunday, 5 pm.

Late Night at Mala

For late night dining and entertainment, Mala Tavern presents Late Night at Mala. Late night at Mala offers a special late-night menu on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am. The menu has a lot of unique and tasty items and several delicious craft cocktails.

MIL Sports

This is week 7 of Division I Football. We have two games this weekend. Friday’s game, Baldwin takes on Lahainaluna at War Memorial. Game time is 7 pm. On Saturday, Molokai plays Kamehameha Schools at Molokai. Game start is 11 am.

This is the last week for Division II Volleyball. There will be 5 matches this weekend. 3rd place Seabury is playing Molokai Friday night at Seabury Hall. Game start is 6 pm. They rematch Saturday at 10 am.  2nd Place Hana is playing Lanai at Hana Friday night. Game start is 6 pm and they rematch Saturday morning at 10 am. Also Saturday morning, Kihei Charter meets Maui Prep at South Maui Gym.

Real Estate

1900 Pulehu Road and 4355 Lower Kula Road are under contract. Getting a lot more action on the large land listings lately. If you are interested in looking at land on Maui, I highly recommend taking action soon. Below are my current listings.
