Maui Weekend Events – November 1

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui has some great community events and live music on deck. The 21st Annual Arbor Day Garden Expo & Tree Giveaway takes place this Saturday. Pacific Whale Foundation is hosting a Ma’alaea Harbor Cleanup this Saturday morning. This Saturday afternoon, Roots Reborn presents Dia de los Muertos at the Cameron Center. Saturday night Marauak will deliver a tribute to Peter Tosh at Mulligan’s. Another great live music event takes place this Sunday with Sunset Sundays at Ocean Organic Farm & Distillery.

21st Annual Arbor Day Garden Expo & Tree Giveaway

Celebrate Arbor Day at the Maui Nui Botanical Garden. The Garden Expo & Tree Giveaway take place on Saturday from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm. There will be tree and plant care lectures, free hands-on Hawaiian cultural activities, conservation organizations, plants for sale, and a giveaway of more than 1,800 Hawaiian trees. New this year, food and beverage vendors will be on-site as well. No reservations necessary. Must be present for free tree giveaway.

Ma’alaea Harbor Cleanup

Pacific Whale Foundation is hosting a Ma’alaea Harbor Cleanup this Saturday from 9 – 11 am. This is a great community service opportunity. PWF will be providing gloves, bags, juice and snacks.

Dia de los Muertos

Roots Reborn presents Dia de los Muertos this Saturday afternoon at the Cameron Center. Festivities begin at 4 pm and end at 9 pm. Included are food, a mercado featuring local artists, entertainment, and an exciting keiki zone. General admission tickets $25 with discounted rates for students, keiki and kupuna. Children under 5 get in free.

Brazilʻs Marauak – Peter Tosh Tribute

AG Presents and Mulligan’s on the Blue present Marauak this Saturday night. Marauak specializes in Brazilian and Reggae music and will be performing a special tribute to Peter Tosh. Showtime for Marauak – Peter Tosh Tribute is 7:30 – 9:30 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. Reservations recommended.

Sunset Sundays

Mana’o Radio presents Sunset Sundays at Ocean Organic Farm and Distillery. This is a recurring event taking place every first Sunay of the month. Show from 4 – 7 pm. Featured artists this weekend are Benny Uyetake, Geri Valdiz & Kevin Brown, and Jarret Roback. Tickets $5 and reservations are recommended.

Oregon Ducks v. Michigan Watch Party

Hawaii Ducks – University of Oregon Alumni Association is hosting a watch party for the Ducks Michigan game this Saturday morning. Gather at the Kahului Ale House for team spirit and camaraderie. Game start is 9:30 am. Ale House offers great menu options for game viewing along with full bar and outstanding draft selection.
