Maui Weekend Events – May 3

Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui has some amazing live music options. This is how we know summer is close!  Tanama and Suede kick off the weekend with a tribute to 90s R&B at Da Playground this Friday night. Pacific Biodiesel presents the 3^rd Annual Sunflower Farm Music Festival this Saturday. ProArts Maui has lots in store this weekend as well. The Roots School “The Iron Forest” will show on both Friday and Saturday afternoons. Tempa and Noar perform on Friday night and Saturday night, we have Tavana Returns. Finally on Sunday night, we close with James Taylor at the MACC.

Tanama Colibri and Suede

Tanama Colibri and Suede come together to kick off the weekend with smooth sounds. Head over to Da Playground this Friday night for A Tribute to 90s R&B. Show starts at 7:30 pm. Doors open 6:30 pm.

3rd Annual Sunflower Farm Music Festival

Pacific Biodiesel presents the 3^rd Annual Sunflower Farm Music Festival. This Saturday May 4^thfrom 11 am – 6 pm. Farmers’ Market, Farm Tours and Entertainment in store at this agricultural education event. Licorice Pizza owner Kerry Brown put together a sweet musical line-up for this year!  General admission tickets $100. There is a VIP experience available as well that includes general admission plus a more a taste of the festivities in an intimate setting the night before.  These tickets are $250. Proceeds benefits  Maui Hub, Common Ground Collective and Grow Some Good.

ProArts Maui

ProArts Maui presents The Roots School “The Iron Forest” with shows on Friday and Saturday afternoons. Friday’s show is at noon and Satruday’s at 1 pm. Both evenings deliver great music options as well. Friday night, join Tempa and Noar for an installment of their Music Medicine Series. Friday night’s show is a tribute to Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Nicks. Special guest Dayan Kai. Show starts 7:30 pm. Tavana Returns on Saturday night. Multi-instrumentalist has opened for Alabama Shakes, Shakey Graves, Xavier Rudd, Jenny Lewis, Julian Marley, and Kaleo and performed with Eddie Vedder. Show starts at 7:30 pm.

An Evening with James Taylor & his All-Star Band

James Taylor and his All-Star Band will be at the MACC this Sunday night. Show starts at 7 pm. Gates open and pre-concert food and beverage starting at 5 pm. This event will be a collection site for the Maui Food Bank. Please bring items to benefit our neighbors affected by the wildfires.
