Maui Weekend Events – March 21

Aloha friends! We’ve got an exciting lineup of events that will make this weekend on Maui unforgettable. Whether you’re a fan of soulful tunes, enchanting magic, or culinary adventures, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Dive into the vibrant cultural experiences Maui has to offer and make the most of these fantastic happenings.

Ke Kani Hone o Wailea

The Shops at Wailea present Ke Kani Hone O Wailea – The Sweet Music of Wailea – George Kahumoku Jr.’s Slack Key Show, Masters of Hawaiian Music this Friday.  Joining George Kahumoko Jr will be Wainani Kealoha and Shem Kahawai’i. This will be a free community event taking place in the Lower Valley Performance Area.  Music from 5:30 – 7 pm.

Stan Walker

Stan Walker is performing at the MACC’s A&B Amphitheater this Friday night. Special guest appearance by High Watah. Stan Walker is a talented singer from New Zealand, renowned for his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence. He gained fame after winning the seventh season of “Australian Idol,” and has since released several successful albums and singles, showcasing his soulful pop and R&B style. Show starts at 7 pm.  Food and beverage available for purchase on the events lawn from 5 – 10 pm.

Piff the Magic Dragon

The MACC presents Piff the Magic Dragon on stage at the Castle Theater this Saturday night. Piff the Magic Dragon is a comedic magician known for his unique act combining magic and humor, often performed in a dragon costume. With a dry wit and impressive sleight of hand, Piff has captured audiences worldwide, earning acclaim from shows like “America’s Got Talent.” Show starts at 7:30 pm and pre-concert food and beverage available for purchase in the Yakouchi Pavillion at 5:30 pm.

Taste of Kapoho

The Fairmont Kealani and Ko Restaurant present Taste of Kapoho, where you can enjoy culinary delights and support a great cause. Event takes place this Saturday evening from 5 – 9 pm. The Taste of Kapoho will support the ongoing restoration of Kapoho Loko Iʻa Kalo, situated within the Waihe‘e Coastal Dunes & Wetlands Refuge. This site is ecologically and culturally significant, and has been protected and managed by the Hawaiʻi Land Trust (HILT) since 2004. There will be a focus on incorporating locally sourced ingredients tied to the restoration efforts. This will be a roaming dinner experience featuring six unique chef stations. Tickets are available for $185 per person.

Disco on the Deck: Mana’o Radio 23rd Anniversary

Get ready to groove and celebrate as Mana’o Radio marks its 23rd anniversary with  Disco on the Deck this Saturday night. Party takes place on the Altitude Deck of the rooftop of Kihei Charter School from 6 – 9 pm. Shea Derrick and Full Flavor will be lighting up the stage. This celebration promises to bring vibrant energy, great music, and a lively atmosphere. It’s the perfect opportunity to dance the night away and enjoy a community gathering.

Maui Pops Orchestra – Spring Pops

This month’s Maui Orchestra Pops features Raiatea Helm and guest conductor Joseph Stepec. Raiatea Helm is a gifted Hawaiian musician acclaimed for her mastery of the ukulele and her enchanting falsetto vocals. Known for her contributions to traditional Hawaiian music, Raiatea has garnered multiple awards and continues to captivate audiences with her exceptional talent and heartfelt performances. This is sure to be a beautiful presentation of Hawaiian Music. Show time is 3 pm. Pre-concert food and beverage available for purchase from 1-3 pm.

Maui Paddling Hui

The Maui Paddling Hui season is under way. This weekend’s race will be the Down Wind III on Saturday. The long course will be from Maliko to Kahului Harbor for 10 miles. The short course will be laps at Kahului Harbor for 4 miles.
