ESPN Visits Maui Raceway Park – Calender Schedule For the End of 2011

Here you go Maui, ESPN visits our track! Let’s race and show support to Maui Raceway Park. We may be out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, but many racers with motorcycles and cars show up once a month to show who is the fastest! Maui Raceway Park has been around for many years here on Maui. Here is the website to get all the information on who is winning along with great pictures: www.mrp.org.

Maui Raceway Park is a NHRA track member and this is why ESPN stopped in to see what we were doing. Bob Frey was the special guest to our track in the month of July. Bob announced both Friday and Saturday night for us and actually set up the above video to talk about what Maui racers do here. I have attached a special web link that explains Bob Frey more in detail. You will recognize the voice of drag racing Bob Frey.

I am very proud to say, “We took 1st place in Friday night’s motorcycle class!” In the above video you will see David Debutiaco, also know as Racer-X, making an 8 second run in qualifying. He is not in the video very long because his top end speed reaches 165 mph in the quarter mile.

This next picture (below) premieres that we won a very important race for motorcycle class known as “Hawaii Drag Racing State Championships” for the month of July.

The above aerial photo (taken early morning) allows you to see that our track looks like no more than a simple road in the middle of sugar cane fields. It is all about our race fans and support to our local community.
