On the entire island of Maui, there are currently 9 active land listings valued under $500,000, with the lowest priced lot at $275,000. One of the listings is on lot 8A Keanae Homesteads, which has 0.70 acres of fertile agricultural zone. The other is 380 Alalele Pl in Kaeleku Ag Park, a 2.93-acre parcel in Hana near Wainapanapa State Park. The next one is 0 Kahiapo Pl, a 0.30-acre lot next to Haiku Community Center. The following property is also in 0 Kahiapo Pl, but it is a 0.19-acre lot on the makai side of Hana Hwy in Haiku. Finally, on the list is 0 Polipoli Rd, a 0.25-acre rural lot in Kula that I will highlight in this blog.
This a rare find on Polipoli Road, a lovely lot, at an affordable price. Maui County building code allows for a main house and a 720 sqft accessory dwelling on this lot. As of Jan. 1st, 2022, this lot is in position #135 on the Upcountry water meter wait list.
Other properties in Kula have utilized water catchment systems as alternatives to a County water meter. A full survey has been done for the property as well as renderings for a 3,750 sqft home suited for the topography of this location.
