Aloha and Happy New Year all! One of the most enjoyable aspects of the holiday season that I and countless others look forward to is spending time with friends, family, and loved ones.
I can’t tell you how happy and grateful I am for the support, friendship, and collaboration that the Hawaii Life Ohana has brought into my life. It was a little over a year ago, after speaking with a fellow Realtor colleague on Kauai, that I realized I had finally found the home I had been assiduously looking for in a new real estate firm. There simply could not be a better fit for what I wanted and needed: a tech savvy company that was started by some awesome local boys—Matt, Justin, and Winston—who are simply the best at each of their respective professions.
After a very enjoyable weekend to the Garden Isle to meet the Hawaii Life Big 3, my father/business partner, Tracy Stice, and I were feeling pretty good about making the transition from a large national brokerage to the future of the business in Hawaii Life. I pretty much started packing my bags when I got back from Maui. Tracy, in his sagacious ways said, “cool your jets young man” and that he still had a lot of homework to do. I responded with a “well you better get to work on your homework because I am all Hawaii Life.”
It’s a new year, and the Stice Team is feeling more comfortable and confident in our partnership with Hawaii Life. As a mahalo for the all the hard work, perseverance, and determination that the Maui team has demonstrated throughout this often tumultuous and frustrating year, Hawaii Life and the Stice Ohana hosted our inaugural company holiday get together on Maui’s North Shore.
Maui Lifers and their families were offered some New Year’s fun on December 29 on Maui at the farm and pond of Tracy Stice, who is also the Broker in Charge for Maui. Five years ago, I convinced my dad to purchase this beautiful 3 acre parcel of land in Maliko Gulch, which is between Ho’okipa Beach Park and Haiku town, and it has been a place of sanctity, entertainment, and fulfillment every day that we experience there. The object was to catch and keep the largest Tilapia from Tracy’s fish pond, which is one of the most prominent aspects of the property.
Here are some of the sights and sounds from the event that I was able to capture with my camera in one hand and a Becks in the other.
Tobi Fisher is the original Maui Lifer and currently does an amazing job as the Maui Director of Sales. This was the official kickoff cast of the event.
Here is another one of Tobi showing one her kids her perfect cast as it’s a given that any progeny of the Fisher clan must know how to fish.
Besides the fish that the Fisher Ohana were catching, this is what majority of the ones caught looked like. This is a video of Maui Lifer, Dale White, and his significant other soaking it all in.
Maui Lifer Rustin Singleton and his beautiful family seemed to have an awesome time down at the pond, great to have you at the event, and on the Maui team Rustin.
It was a really a question of which one of the Fisher Ohana was going to end up winning the contest, Pat Fisher, an awesome guy, and Tobi’s husband ended up landing the winner that weighed in almost 2.5 lbs. exactly. Congrats Pat!
Needless to say, I hope all the attendees had a blast. It was our pleasure to have you, and I think next year should be even more fun! I wish all the Hawaii Lifers a very successful and prosperous 2011.
Imua Hawaii Life 2011!
