Let’s Get Trashed!

We are passionate about keeping our aina clean and rubbish free! Litter not only impacts our direct environment as an eyesore but is extremely important to keep human and marine life safe and healthy.

Whenever we gather to collect together for Adopt-A-Highway, it feels fulfilling and encouraging for a cleaner future for our keiki. It also sets a precedent for tourists and visitors to follow by example by treating the aina with respect.

Hawaii Life normally cleans the area from Sea Life Park to Waimanalo. We also coordinate the highway clean up annually during the Hui Nalu – Kaiwi Coast Run Walk – when the highway is closed to traffic and it is a super safe time to pick up garbage! If you are an early riser and want to help clean our highway, we are seeking volunteers to join us on Sunday, November 24 at 5:45am. Meet at Koko Head Elementary School Parking Lot.
