Launiupoko Plantation Charmer – Hawaiian Resort Style Home with Tiki Bar, Pool and Fantastic Views

This past weekend we took a break from all the stunning homes of Kaanapali and toured the newer neighborhood of Launiupoko. Launiupoko was started in the late 90’s and offered 2 acre parcels and up.

Located on the slopes of the West Maui mountains just before Lahaina town, and with the terrain the way it is, you are almost guaranteed and breathtaking ocean view from anywhere on your property. The hills are such that no one is blocking another view. Here you will have the most beautiful sunsets 365 days a year.

This is one of the homes we had the privilege of viewing on Sunday. A majority of these large estates have elected to build their 1,000 sq. foot cottage and then CPR (sub-divide) their lot and sell the cottage separately. Some have sold over $1,000,000 just for the cottage.

This beautiful home located at 435 Kai Hele Ku St. still has its own cottage and another dwelling used for a music studio. These extra units bring in $4,200 per month in rent right now.

The Main House

The main house is a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath in over 2,500 sq. feet (MLS# 349789). Currently offered at $2,995,000, this is a beautiful retro style plantation home with an Ipe (Brazilian hardwood) deck and the coolest Dickey Roof design.

Open beam living room with 3 island views

This beautiful property sits on over 2.3 acres and has not been sud-divided yet. The owners are seriously considering it though.

Outdoor Entertaining

There are gas tiki torches around the pool area and the pool bar and cabana has its own flat screen TV. It’s a perfect spot for the family and entertaining. This property also includes a 3 car garage with a full bathroom off the garage. They thought of everything for this home.

Call me with questions, or for more information – I’m happy to help you. My next blog will feature another beautiful home for you to check out.
