Laulea at Mauna Lani – First Closings of Completed Homes

When the developerʻs agents first presented the Residences at Lauleʻa to our Hawaiʻi Life Kohala Coast office, we were excited about a small, high-end development at Mauna Lani Resort that would offer brand new detached and paired homes…some with ocean views and the rest with gorgeous mountain and golf course views.

This new Lauleʻa at Mauna Lani homeowner chose a furniture package to move right in.

I toured clients when it was just bare land…and again a year ago walking through homes under construction. But now that the first three of the seventeen residences at Lauleʻa have been delivered to their new owners, I finally had the opportunity to walk my clients through a fully finished and furnished home. The experience is a WOW. The floor plan and finishes are right on the money for today’s buyer.

Strong Sales Activity for the Residences at Lauleʻa

A 4-bedroom 2,654 sq ft duplex home on the mauka (mountain) side of Lauleʻa just went into escrow. An adjacent home is scheduled to close in March, and a third residence in about six months. Base price for the home in escrow was $3,150,000. Buyers who get in early in the construction process have their choice of two interior finish packages and a number of upgrades including different ceiling treatments, outdoor showers, and an upgraded built-in BBQ area.

Remember that the residences at Lauʻlea are located on your right as you drive to the Mauna Lani Beach Club to swim or have dinner at Napua restaurant. Rather than create a separate amenity area for only 17 homes, the developer wisely chose to keep homeowner dues low and let owners take advantage of the resort amenities at their disposal.

Construction is scheduled to continue through summer of 2019 at the Residences at Lauleʻa.

For locational reference, the 49 Black Sand Beach and Mauna Lani Point communities are virtually across the street from Lauleʻa. With current prices starting at $2.5 million, the smallest Lauleʻa home is only a little more expensive than a 2 bed/2 bath condo at Mauna Lani Point and the entire range is competitive with the lowest priced homes at 49 Black Sand Beach.

A Selection of Residences at Lauleʻa Still Available For Sale

There are three active listings at Lauleʻa, and three more homes will be built that have yet to be released.

The homes available for sale include one in the sole triplex building, a 3-bedroom priced at $2.5 million; a 4-bedroom paired 2-story home facing the mountains, priced at $3.1 million, and a free-standing, single story 4-bedroom residence with ocean view, priced at $4.4 million.

Still to be released by the developer are one more of the free-standing ocean view homes and two of the 4-bedroom duplex floorplan. Prices have not been set, but should be similar to the current listings…or a bit higher if the market continues to hold…so if you are interested, let’s look now!
