Waikoloa Village—Watch Your Kekake!

The Hawaiian word for donkey is “Kekake” and we have a chance to see more than one on upper Waikoloa Road, in the area of the S-curve near the 7 miles marker “just above the stables.” If anyone sees a donkey at anytime by the road or on the road (and not behind fencing), please make sure to call Police Dispatch at 935-3311.

Safety on our roads is a priority together with preserving the Nightingale donkeys owned and cared for by Hawaiian Island residents.
