Today I checked out two very different properties in the central beach area of Kailua, Kalama Tract.

Next, I visited 130 Mookua St. #A, the home everyone has in mind when buying in Kailua. It’s a 4 bed, 2 bath newly renovated single family home with a large yard, close to the beach. Listed for $1,550,000, this home is well priced for its location and condition. The home is just four houses off of N. Kalaheo, close to the beach access on Kalaka Pl.

The home sits on a flag lot, which in many communities would be a detraction, but not in this part of Kailua. Here, a flag lot means more privacy and less foot and car traffic. The interior finishes of the home are all new, clean-lined, and contemporary. Nearly every room has a door or a view to the outdoors, so you’ll feel surrounded by greenery here. Several “pockets parks” dot the yard and provide interesting retreat spaces. This one will go quickly!
