Not to be confused with the much newer Kamani at Kehalani, Kaimana at Kehalani was built in 1996 by developer C. Brewer and is located on the lower side of S High St/Honoapi’ilani Hwy/#30 (I hope you’re still with me!). Kaimana at Kehalani is composed completely of 179 single family homes while Kamani at Kehalani is made up of duplexes and was built by Towne.
Consisting of 2 main streets, Poniu Cir and Akolea St are studded with several mini cul-de-sacs, each with 6 houses, 3 on each side. The intent behind this layout is that the cul-de-sacs (or courtyards) would provide more safety and privacy from passing traffic for children and pets. It also allowed the developer to fit more homes onto a given space.

Small cul-de-sacs reduce traffic in front of homes
There are five main floor plans — three are two-story and two are one-story.

Two-story 3 bed/2.5 bath 1,521 sqft

A larger two-story floor plan with 4 bed/3 bath 1,628 sqft

One side of a mini cul-de-sac with tropical landscaping
All homes come with open slatted wooden fences. High enough for privacy and to contain children and dogs, but with pukas (openings) large enough to allow trade winds and cats to slip through.
