Since January of 2016, we’ve been honored to work with Christie’s International Real Estate and we are pleased to announce that as of April, with expansion into Oahu, we are the first and only Christie’s affiliate to be awarded an entire state as its territory. It was made official with an announcement in the Christie’s press center in June.
How did it happen and why is Christie’s so important to us?
Our affiliation began in 2016 when we welcomed Mary Anne Fitch and Maui Estates International as part of Hawaii Life. Mary Anne already had an existing relationship with Christie’s and her ringing endorsement led us to discover more.
While we pride ourselves on our marketing, including crafting one of the state’s most trafficked websites, we know that a truly global partner can provide a level of visibility that will benefit our sellers. Christie’s isn’t just a logo we add to our materials, it’s an organization that is committed to the highest level of quality marketing and research.
Christie’s is equally careful about their affiliate relationships. In fact, they’ve never granted a single firm a statewide affiliation– until now. We are their first and only partner to receive this level of consideration, a testament to the deep understanding and trust between our two firms.

So who is Christie’s?

Buyers of our properties come from all around the world and this partnership helps us better reach buyers here and away in ways that are meaningful and substantive. Their strategic approach through advertising partnerships, social media promotion, email marketing, and print media closely mirror and augment our own success strategy.
We’ve long admired Christie’s as a brand with a sterling reputation and when we were evaluating our potential affiliations, their marketing programs truly resonated with us. Their attention to photography, to language, to the small details of great design resonated with our own. Case in point is their Global Luxury Marketing Report, a comprehensive annual look at the world of luxury real estate. Over the past two years, we’ve attended some of their conferences, connected with their leadership, met with other members to hear their stories, and ultimately had the sort of conversations that lay the framework for bigger things.
The value of true partnership
Christie’s places the most significant listings in a Bespoke Marketing Program. These listings receive enhanced exposure especially to the sophisticated high net-worth clients of the Christie’s Auction House.
Christie’s also works side by side with us to connect directly with clients. Zackary Cartwright from Chrstie’s attends listing appointments for special properties.
“A few days before Christmas in 2016, I was contacted by an HL1 agent who had a listing appointment on Christmas Eve. Because of the timing, I couldn’t attend that meeting,” explains Zackary. “However my team and I were able to create a custom detailed marketing and outreach plan for the property that showed the client exactly how the property would be promoted.”
