This past week’s episode of Hawaii Five-O started off in the waters off Waikiki with what appeared to be a shark attack. For those that live here in Hawaii, we know there are never shark attacks in Waikiki. Waikiki has some of the most beautiful (and safe) waters in all of Hawaii. There’s no coincidence that the majority of hotels on Oahu chose to be in Waikiki. The Waikiki Shore is the only beachfront condominium building in Waikiki.
Beach fronting Waikiki Shore #916 (MLS# 1109021) listed for $1,019,800
Well, as suspected, there was no shark attack. It was a tourist boy playing a trick on his sister. Later on, however, he finds a hand floating in the water, which really freaked him out! The Five-O Team is called in to find out whose hand it is and who’s gone missing.
It turns out this episode is mostly shot either in the water, near the piers off Nimitz and Downtown Honolulu, or Kewalo Basin in Kakaako. So, in other words, there wasn’t much real estate in this episode, which was similar to one we had last year that took place almost entirely on the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor.
It turns out the hand was from a missing diver who went treasure hunting. I won’t bore you with all the details, however, there were some great diving scenes and the Five-O Team ultimately caught the bad guy. It was nice to see Peter Fonda have a small part…
