Looking for a great resort deal? Be ready to pounce, deals are going quickly!
We recently posted a blog about the surprisingly low inventory at the resorts. Here is some further anecdotal evidence in just the past week from the Mauna Lani Resort. We showed unit M23 last Friday, which had just gone on the market on May 10. It was a beautiful unit at a great price of just $340K.
It wasn’t right for our clients, but as of May 16, it is in escrow. Six days on the market. If you blinked, you missed it.
Or how about this Maile unit at the Villages at Mauna Lani? It was listed at $929,000 on May 11 and was on the market for a total of three days before it went into escrow.
With the inventory as low as it is, buyers need to work closely with agents who know exactly what their clients want and where, and be ready to pounce on when it hits the market. Great deals are still popping up here and there, but as you can see, they seem to disappear just as quickly.

Dan and Marion–not only that, but BOTH of the units you mentioned had two offers!

I agree with every bit of your recent posts about inventory moving fast. You’re right on with this one…buyers need to be “ready to pounce”. I found this to be the case in Vancouver WA where I just visited and checked out some real estate. And hearing that those units had two offers is in line with other escrows my buyers have entered where there were multiple offers. Thanks Dan and Marion!
