Oahu is a haven for dozens of beautiful golf courses. In Kailua alone, there are at least 4 golf courses. Every community on Oahu has at least one golf course nearby. Along with the recreational opportunities presented by Oahu golf courses, is the chance to live in golf course homes on Oahu. Golf course homes on Oahu span over many towns and communities of Oahu. Oahu golf course homes also are found in many price ranges and include both single family homes and condos. Golf course homes can provide great views and a feeling of being away from hectic town living.

5 Top Areas for Golf Course Homes on Oahu | Great for Golfing or Just a Beautiful View!

#1 – Diamond Head – Waialae-Kahala – Waialae Golf Course Homes on Oahu

$2,000,000-$5,000,000 Price Range – The Waialae Golf Course area is one of the nicest areas of Honolulu, in the Diamond Head region of Oahu. This area has the most high-end golf course homes on Oahu, located adjacent to the Waialae Country Club and Golf Course. This neighborhood is near Kahala and the Kahala Hotel, and Kahala Mall, and convenient to the freeway, as well. Waialae-Kahala golf course homes on Oahu are very desirable and range from simple, mid-century ranch homes to newly built mega-mansions. Some have golf course views or frontage and some also have ocean views. These are custom homes and they have a wide range in both size and style.

#2 – Kailua – Enchanted Lake/Country Club Knoll – Mid-Pacific Country Club Golf Course Homes

$1.300,000-$1,900,000 Price Range – The Enchanted Lake and Country Club Knoll areas are some of my favorite neighborhoods on Oahu. Located in Kailua, these Mid-Pacific Country Club golf course homes on Oahu are popular and rarely available. These homes range from mid-century bungalows to stunning newly built homes, as well. Golf course frontage homes in Kailua are in high demand and having this frontage provides gorgeous views and a feeling of peacefulness and space. In addition, the homes in Country Club Knoll are also very close to Kailua Beach Park and Lanikai Beach, while the Enchanted Lake golf course homes are within about 2 miles of Kailua Beach. Both are a short drive to the center of Kailua Town. These features make Enchanted Lake and Country Club Knoll one of the best areas for golfers to live on Oahu.

There are no golf course homes for sale in Kailua’s Enchanted Lake or Country Club Knoll neighborhoods right now, but here is one that I sold a few years ago in Enchanted Lake. (MLS #201620046 for $1,413,000).

#3 – Ko’Olina – Ko’Olina Kai Golf Estates – Leeward (West) Oahu

$1,000,000 – $1,900,000 – The Ko’Olina Kai Golf Estates neighborhood is one of the best areas for golfers on Oahu. The Oahu golf course homes in Ko’Olina are on the West side or Leeward side of Oahu, in the city of Kapolei. Ko’Olina is a luxurious planned community with both single family homes and condos. Besides that, the Four Seasons, Marriott, and Disney Aulani also have resort properties in Ko’Olina. Several of the subdivisions in Ko’Olina have easy golf course access, but my favorite is the Ko’Olina Kai Golf Estates. These single-family detached homes with golf course frontage were built in the early 2000s, making them some of the newer built golf course homes on Oahu. Also, this area features membership to the Beach & Sports Club, for tennis, gym, and fitness classes, along with proximity to the Ko’Olina Golf Club. Ko’Olina Golf Club was rated as one of the “Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S.” by Golf Digest.

#4 – Hawaii Kai – Queen’s Gate – Hawaii Kai Golf Course Homes

$1,000,000-$1, 500,000 – Another favorite area for Oahu golf course homes is Queen’s Gate in the Hawaii Kai region of Honolulu. The 120 golf course homes in Queen’s Gate are part of a PUD. Queen’s Gate provides a resort setting, in a gated community in Hawaii Kai. Queen’s Gate fronts the Hawaii Kai Golf Course and provides a turnkey Oahu golf course lifestyle. Amenities of Queen’s Gate include tennis and racquetball courts. Queen’s Gate was built in the late 1970s.

#5 – Ewa Beach – Hoakalei

$900,000-$1,500,000 – In Ewa Beach, there are several areas of Oahu golf course homes. Some golf courses in Ewa Beach, include the Ewa Beach, Hawaii Prince, and Coral Creek Golf Courses. One of my favorite areas for golf course homes in Ewa Beach is in the new Hoakalei subdivision, near the new Hoakalei Country Club and Golf Course. Ewa Beach is one of the more affordable areas of the island, with newer construction. Besides that, it has great shopping, the beach, and other amenities nearby. And with an average of 267 sunny days a year, Ewa Beach is a great place to live a golfing lifestyle on Oahu.
