The wait is over: Makamae by Gentry Homes is now open for model home tours by appointment only. Welcome to your exclusive, VIP Home Tour of Makamae. Hi everyone, this is Fawn Bertram with Homes by Fawn and Hawaii Life Real Estate. Let’s go inside.

Makamae has 4-floor plans to choose from. The homes range in size from 1,845 to 2,128 square feet of living space. If these homes look familiar to you, you’re correct. They’re very similar to Coral Ridge. Makamae will release 3 to 4 homes per month over the next 3 1/2 years. There will be a total of 150 homes in this development. Move-in dates are about 90 days out from a home release.

How Much?

Now you’re probably wondering how much these homes are. The first release of homes at Makamae, prices started in the high $800k to low $900k. Be prepared; the developer will increase the price per release. How much? Well, we’re waiting on the Gentry to announce the 2nd release. Usually, it’s anywhere from $3k to $5k per release. The current monthly association fee is $42.

The features of these homes have 9-foot ceilings, central a/c, luxury vinyl plank flooring in the living, kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry area, Corian kitchen countertops, an undermount kitchen sink, GE profile stainless steel appliances that include the electric range, dishwasher, and microwave/hood combination that is vented to the exterior.

Not Included

The refrigerator, washer, and dryer are yours to purchase on your own. The front yard comes landscaped with irrigation. The backyard will be yours to design.

In order to purchase a home at Makamae, these homes are by waitlist only. There will be no lotteries for Makamae.

To Visit the Model Homes

To visit the model homes at Makamae, you will need an appointment. There are no walk-ins available. To request an appointment, you will need a pre-qualification letter from any lender of your choice and your agent. An email will need to be sent with your pre-qualification letter to Makamae’s sales office. The sales office will respond to emails in order of the date received.

Now to be added to the waitlist, first you have to see the model homes. Don’t forget to bring your agent with you on your first visit. This is very important and Gentry’s policy. Second, you’ll need to be pre-qualified by Gentry’s lender. I know; it’s a process. You don’t necessarily have to use Gentry’s lender to purchase the home, but it’s their requirement to be put on the waiting list. If you do decide to use Gentry’s lender, they are currently offering $12k for closing costs.

The best thing to do is start the pre-qualification process with Gentry’s lender right away. This will allow you to be added to the waitlist if you decide to move forward.
