1. Big Island Bees Beekeeping and Honey Farm Tour

Producing honey on the Big Island since 1972, Big Island Bees provides a variety of delicious honeys from a single floral source. Their bees are raised organically for a quality product. Join a fun, educational, free tour Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm (weather permitting) at their farm in Captain Cook.

2. Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm

A little known gem located on a 3 acre oceanfront farm just south of the Kona airport, this seahorse farm is dedicated to preserving the endangered seahorse. On a farm tour you can view over 30 seahorse species, feed and hold seahorses, learn about their natural history, and much more. Buy tickets for your tour on the Ocean Rider website.

3. Paradise Helicopter Custom Tours

Without a doubt the best way to get an overview of the broad variety and size of this incredible island, Paradise Helicopters offers some fantastic tours. From a doors-off ride for the more adventurous to a family-friendly helicopter/zipline combo or a romantic sunset tour, they specialize in custom tours for everyone. 4. Hawaiian Vanilla Company Farm Tour

With over 25 years of cultivating vanilla beans, the Hawaiian Vanilla Company produces some of the finest vanilla products. Located near Waipio Valley on the northern coast of the Big Island, the farm offers a variety of farm tours available for scheduling on their website.

5. Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory Tour

Situated on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain in the midst of Kona Coffee Country, the Original Hawaiian Chocolate Company grows, hand-picks, sun-dries, and processes only Hawaii-grown cocoa beans. Join a farm and factory tour on Wednesdays at 9am or Fridays at 9am and 11am. Book your tour on their website.
