Four outstanding farmers’ markets take place each Saturday in Waimea at a variety of locations – Kamuela Farmers’ Market on Pukalani Road, Kuhio Hale Farmers’ Market on Mamalahoa Highway, Waimea Town Market at Parker School and Waimea Homestead Farmers’ Market on Mamalahoa Highway. Mid-Week Farmers’ Market debuted on Wednesdays – a favorite of local residents. Plan to arrive early – most markets open by 7:30 am and are pau (finished) by about noon.
Things To Do in Hawi
From Waimea follow Kohala Road further north to the small historic plantation town of Hawi. While sugar cane plantations have given way to art galleries, boutiques and restaurants, the town retains its rustic charm and laid back vibe. Be sure to check out As Hawi Turns with its eclectic collection of retail fun and Tiffany’s Art Gallery which showcases some of Hawaii’s most talented contemporary artists. When it’s time to kau kau (eat) make a fast track to the Bamboo Inn or Sushi Rock.

Closer to home, Ke Kailani property owners enjoy close proximity to the Mauna Lani Beach Club, reserved exclusively for residents of the resort, as well as The Shops at Mauna Lani with its numerous boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants.
