Finding a condo here in Waikiki with a stunning unobstructed view at a low price is getting harder and harder, but this Diamond Head Vista condo, priced at $423,000, is on my short list of bargain view condos.

The building overlooks a school, the Honolulu Zoo, and Kapiolani Park, so it is unlikely the beach and Diamond Head views will be obstructed any time soon – not something that can be guaranteed with a lot of buildings here in Waikiki.

It is also a little quieter at this end of Waikiki. By day there is a bit of hustle and bustle while tourists, families, and surfers enjoy the beach, the zoo, the aquarium, the Ala Wai Walking path, and Kapiolani Park. At night the action shifts to the other end of Waikiki.

This 12th floor condo was designed for the view. The great room opens to an oversize lanai and the view beyond. The master suite opens to the same lanai and shares the view. The interior is clean, open, and modern with nothing distracting from the view. Floor to ceiling sliders in the master suite and great rooms slide back, opening onto the lanai for indoor/outdoor living. The condo comes with assigned and guest parking, and the building has a salt water pool, but with the beach so close, I doubt it gets used much.

This is the only active listing currently in the building. There are three other units with accepted offers and three other that sold in the last few months. Condos don’t last long on the market here and I expect this one to go quickly as well.
