Beautiful Ocean View Coffee Acreage with Two Homes in South Kona

I previewed this beautiful coffee acreage property in South Kona (MLS# 247789) for some clients who are overseas and took some raw video and pictures that I thought to share. This fenced property located just past Milolii is not far from the highway in South Kona with lots of potential to expand in many ways!

Main House

The Main House is a spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bath upstairs with potential to have another dwelling area downstairs.

I could feel the quality country lifestyle in this home. The natural light that beamed in from the sky lights, and the spacious feel in the living room and kitchen areas really gave this property good value.

Tucked away at the highest part of the property and towards the back, overlooking the coffee, trees, views, and guest house, this home was built at the back of the property to take advantage of the ultimate peace and quiet of this area.

The potential to expand this area into a woofer station or separate rental seems possible because of the bathroom, sink, and outdoor shower nearby.

Guest House

The 1 bedroom, 1 bath Guest House looked very livable with the high ceilings and a nice bright kitchen.

So each of the dwellings have room to expand as possible rentals, or as workshops. Some of the tools and building materials are included in the sale of this property, but the John Deere and the ATV are being sold separately.

Coffee Crop

Because I was previewing this property for a client who was interested in this property for its coffee crop, I had two friends come with me who were interested in helping to maintain the coffee and have a business making Organic Crop Solutions to rid crops of the Coffee Beetle that exists on some of the Kona Coffee Crops here. Gaillen Wraye and Anita Mitchell with Symbiotic Solutions are here in these two videos speaking about the condition of the coffee.

About the Coffee

As we walked closer to the two homes, we continued to inspect the coffee along the way:

Property Possibilities

There was about a 1/2 acre on the south side of the property that was not developed. It was still vacant land with no coffee grown or improvements on it. Here are some other pictures of the rest of the property that will help you get a feel for the place.

This picture above is taken from the south end of the property. The water catchment tank (seen on the top right) is one of 3 tanks on the property, and can be used as a backup tank since there are only two dwellings and 3 tanks. The pavilion that’s built over the catchment tank also acts as a porte cochere area, where it looks like you can store tools, equipment, or house woofers who would like to tent on the property.

You also have the potential to go off the grid at this property with the amount of water you can collect. It is possible to install solar here, but it may be better to consider the new free energy technology that will be released soon (ie. Pyramid power so you don’t need sun to have power, Tesla coils for free energy, windmills, water reservoirs, and other natural sources of energy that may be used or available in the area, off the grid).

With the meandering grassy walkways, different types of trees, fairly level terrain in the crops, and some gradual slopes, this property has a really nice feel of privacy, country quietness, and true appreciation for island living. On the property there is a Gazebo, a large circular gathering space within the coffee under the kukui nut trees, and lots of places to have a bonfire pit, and spaces to put a picnic table with a view.

Taking advantage of the island life that you would like to live is possible here; this property has all the potential for private life, or public life, or both! Because this property has no covenants, conditions or restrictions, you also have the potential to do Agri-business activities, which may include farm tours, spiritual retreats, workshops, and even possibly vacation rentals within County rules and regulations.

Even the drive to the property is very easy to find! Not far from the Mamalahoa Hwy., the property is totally fenced and lined with Bougainvilla and trees for wonderful privacy and security in the country.

If you would like more details and pictures of this property, I would be happy to show you around! This country property is perfect for the family who would like to get off-the-grid with potential for sustainability living, and even homeschooling children. A wonderful place to bloom!

Easy to see, call me anytime! I’m here for you!

Claire, this property looks like the perfect solution for a family into gardening or farming. How about some honeybees and a few egg layers for good measure? With over 5 acres to call home, the possibilities for sustainability are endless!

Aloha Shaylyn! Yes, a perfect solution for getting “off-the-grid”! Love the bee & egg thoughts too! There is another half acre that was cleared at the back of the property, and that would be the perfect place for the hen house, and the bee boxes, away from the both homes~ Good one Shaylyn! I’ll tell my clients too!
