The Club at Kukui‘ula

Kula Makai offers oceanfront living, while Kahalawai offers sweeping ocean vistas from its hillside location. Kainani and Kaulu give residents easy access to Poi‘pu shopping and the on-site golf course. Finally, the Club Neighbourhood is just steps away from all of the amenities the Clubhouse has to offer.

It’s easy to spend an entire day lounging in the comfort of this intimate estate, located in Poʻipū. Open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, the Clubhouse offers a number of ways to unwind and have fun, allowing your cares to drift a million miles away.

Breakfast

Rise and shine with a cup of coffee made with locally grown beans. Enjoy the roast as you nestle in one of the plush sofas or chairs in the tastefully decorated Clubhouse, while keeping an eye out for humpback whales and spinner dolphins in the distance. Dine on a healthy meal at the Plantation House and taste tropical fruit plucked straight from Kukui‘ula’s own gorgeous upcountry farm.

Hi‘ilani Spa and Fitness

Continue embracing your state of bliss during a one-on-one morning fitness session with a certified trainer. Take advantage of the state of the art fitness facility or join one the many classes offered, including yoga, barre and qi gong.

After working up a sweat, wind down with a rejuvenating spa treatment or a traditional lomi lomi massage. Indulge in a manicure and pedicure or treat yourself to a facial, tailored to women or men, using skincare made with aloha by local artisans. Savor the moment and appreciate everything the spa has to offer, including a lap pool, and lovely grounds with a tranquil meditation garden.

The Makai Pools

Lunch is served poolside at the casual Makai Bar and Grill, where everything is freshly made—a relaxing spot to continue your dreamy day. Crisp salads, robust sandwiches, as well as local bites like poke and musubi are on the menu. Take a dip or watch your kids splash around in the saltwater pools adorned with tumbling waterfalls. Or, you can opt for a romantic afternoon with your sweetheart on the partly submerged loungers in the freshwater infinity pool. Inside the Clubhouse, there are delicious snacks and shuffleboard. Take the kids to the game room or delight your inner child with the club’s vintage Atari games.

Golf and Tennis

Unwind with a round of golf on Kukui‘ula’s private, 18-hole course designed by Tom Weiskopf, which boasts sweeping ocean and mountain views. Take a lesson from a pro or participate in one of the complimentary classes offered regularly for adults and keiki. Stop by the clubhouse pro shop to pick up some new gear. There are four brand new tennis courts available for use from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and lessons are available upon request.

Huaka‘i Outfitters

With so many outdoor adventures to be had on Kaua‘i, Huaka‘i Outfitters is a one-stop shop for gear and bookings. Their guided tours are a huge hit, especially with the kids. Offering a wide range of outdoor activities, Huaka‘i guides will take you on scheduled or private tours to favorite local beaches, trailheads and hikes, and more. Get muddy on a guided hike or jump on board the Mahealani, Kuku‘iula’s 32’ Yellowfin boat, where your dinner is caught under the supervision of the crew. The possibilities are endless! They offer on-site instruction for canoeing, kayaking, SUPing, surfing, and mountain biking. You’ll find some cool gear at this outpost, available on a first-come, first-served based for your tennis, snorkeling or mountain biking adventure.

Dinner

The Clubhouse is located at one of the most idyllic destinations on the island for sunset viewing. Catch the orange and pink glow of the sun as it drops below the horizon over dinner at Umeke Kitchen and Bar. Let Chef Ben Takahashi spoil you with his menu of delicious island flavors, crafted with fresh produce from The Farm, and fresh catch and farm-raised meats from local fisherman and ranchers.

Each farm-to-table dish highlights the island’s unique regional cuisine and pairs well with Umeke’s selection of craft beers and cocktails, or wine from their curated international list. Every Wednesday, order the delectable 4-course prix-fixe menu, and take the pressure off of having to decide what to choose.

Sip a hand-crafted cocktail and cozy up by the fire pit after your meal, soaking in all the splendid moments of your day. Share stories with your loved ones while roasting marshmallows and savor a perfect conclusion to yet another flawless Kaua‘i experience.
