13,000 Acre Bio-fuel Energy Farm in Kau, Big Island – Coming Soon

13,000 Acre Bio-fuel Energy Farm being developed in Ka’u, Big Island.

This is such awesome news for Ka’u residents and property owners on the Big Island of Hawaii! A 13,000 acre bio-fuel energy farm will be opening soon in the Ka’u district with help from the Olson’s [private property owners], Aina Koa Pono, and Hawaii Electric Company [HECO].

Aina Koa Pono is a Hawai’i-based company co-founded by local business developers Dr.Melvin H. Chiogioji and Kenton Eldridge. The company is dedicated to the development and implementation of renewable energy solutions using innovative and proven technologies.

Aina Koa Pono estimates it will create a minimum of 300 construction jobs over the first two years, and ultimately more than 100 permanent operation and farming jobs. $320 million will be invested in the Ka’u Energy Farm, to cover the costs of building a cutting-edge processing facility as well as planting and harvesting biofeedstocks like sweet sorghum and eucalyptus,” writes Stephanie Salazar of Big Island Video News.

This will definitely add value to real estate ownership in the Ka’u district as this farm will provide many jobs, and is destined to provide natural energy to the Big Island and beyond! I look forward to the day when we are totally weened off of fossil fuels…which could be soon!

Mother Earth will love us for this! And Ka’u will receive a much needed economy boost! Those who live in South Kona, Ocean View, and Pahala areas can opt for a shorter commute to the Ka’u farm for work as well…what a blessing for all!
