It seems like every day I’m somewhere along the spectacular Kohala Coast – a place I feel very lucky to call “my backyard.” Most people who know the Kohala Coast agree that it’s like an adult playground because of the abundance of sunshine, nature, and because of the amenities and accommodations at the 4 awesome oceanfront resorts.
Clients love this playground as much as I do! They enjoy days full of fun and adventure! But as sunset approaches, they almost always want the option to simply unwind and gaze into the ocean.
That’s why “ocean view” usually lands at the top of their wish list – and why the ocean view category is also one of my top priorities as I stay abreast of real estate opportunities and values; whether it’s residential, condo, or land.
Below are 4 of my best picks for ocean view Kohala Coast resort condos that are currently available. Note that you can get a lot for your dollar when buying ocean view properties within Kohala resorts as compared to the price per square foot on other major islands.
#1. Hali’i Kai 8A at Waikoloa Beach Resort
At Waikoloa Beach Resort, Hali’i Kai 8A is a no-brainer! It has it all.
Hali’i Kai 8A (MLS# 267028)
Some of the Hali’i Kai 8A highlights include
- Its own garage
- Quality furnishings (included)
- Popular 2 bedroom/2 bathroom upstairs corner floor plan
- Strong rental history (Inquire for further details)
- Value: Get a grand ocean view condo for close to half the price as oceanfront
- Location gives you stunning ocean views; Buyers who had choice of any building selected Bldg 8 because they saw how its orientation perfectly frames the view over the fairway to an expanse of blue ocean.
Hali’i Kai Ocean Club Bar & Grill
Besides the strong points of this individual unit 8A, Hali’i Kai is a premier gated oceanfront community with impeccably maintained low-density grounds. It is renowned for the oceanfront amenity clubhouse with owners restaurant and bar, tiered resort pool, and fitness center. Just stroll to the oceanfront Owners Restaurant/Bar for whale watching and relaxing with your favorite beverage in hand.
#2. Hainoa Villas #10 at Hualalai Resort
At Hualalai Resort my pick for a value under $2M is Hainoa Villas #10, a 3 bedroom, 3 bath upstairs corner unit at $1.975M. The expansive ocean views you get from being higher up the hill at Hualalai Resort really take your breath away, yet you’re just an easy walk to the Members’ Ke’olu Clubhouse or pleasant golf cart ride to the luxurious amenities offered by the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.
Hainoa Villas #10 (MLS# 264975)
#3. Wai’ula’ula K101 at Mauna Kea Resort
At Mauna Kea Resort the inventory is slim, but Wai’ula’ula properties are usually in my top pick anyway. Wai’ula’ula K101 is a gem. It’s a 3 bedroom, 3 bath at $1.3M.
Wai’ula’ula K101 (MLS# 265943)
People love that they have unobstructed views over the fairway toward the ocean and Maui from their own outdoor kitchen/lanai, and from the living area and master bedroom area.
You will also have access to one of the best beaches on the island and the beautiful Wai’ula’ula amenity center with infinity pool, fitness, and a caring onsite Manager, too. The beach at Mauna Kea is unsurpassed and Wai’ula’ula has a nice friendly feel.
#4. Palm Villas H22 at Mauna Lani Resort
I selected Palm Villas H22 because of price. It’s one of the three lowest priced condos with an ocean view at Mauna Lani, but the location is worth more.
H-22 borders the Historical Preserve, affording you a peaceful and unchanging natural setting between you and the ocean view. It is very private and has a nice outdoor kitchen on the lanai; the resort club, pool, spa and fitness center are just across the street.
Beach Club at the Mauna Lani Resort
The owners privileged access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club is a huge perk of getting in at a good price at Mauna Lani Resort. Here’s the kicker…it’s a short stroll to my favorite Happy Hours at the Shops at Mauna Lani.
Endless Recreational Activities on the Kohala Coast
You’ll find endless possibilities on the Kohala Coast for fun, nature, relaxation and pleasure; such as golf, snorkeling, water sports, hiking, tennis, fitness and spa, whale watching, or meeting friends for shopping, libations, or fine cuisine. Watching the sun set into the ocean from your own retreat in Hawaii is a sure bet for down time.
Always my best with aloha…
