Basik Acai Cafe is located in the parking lot near Huggo’s Restaurant in Kailua-Kona and offers a healthy alternative to your typical restaurant food! Basik is also located close to vacation rentals, hotels, coffee shops, and the day and night life of Kailua-Kona.
While I was waiting for an Islander Bowl upstairs, the view made me feel like I was on vacation—time slowed down and it felt like a nice time to take a moment and be grateful for living in Hawaii, and for the ability to enjoy healthy food with nice people all around me. The bowls here are super yummy and they also serve refreshing smoothies too! I ordered the Islander Bowl because I love coconut mild and it was onolicious! It was a big bowl—I couldn’t finish mine!
Bob Marley was playing in the background and the cool tropical Kona breezes were wafting through…it really put me in the “attitude of gratitude” mood, and I became aware that I was consciously making a choice to take better care of my body by eating here. The place had its own healthy vibe to it with beautiful pictures on the ceiling of the Hawaii lifestyle and all the things we enjoy about living in the islands—the ocean, nature, and people—I was having a spiritual experience at breakfast!
I also noticed that the packaged food products they used looked like they were from one company (like they were distributors of their own products). They had healthy packs of granola, nuts, and certain mixtures in packages.
Another thing I liked about this place was the local art they had displayed. The painting right below the cash register area is a classic tube in a wave and I could feel the cool turquoise water as if I were swimming near it!
Hopefully, you get a chance to stop by and enjoy the wonderful Basik Acai experience while in Kailua-Kona! We love healthy food and healthy lifestyles, and Basik can help you achieve healthy eating habits!
Blessings & Happiness!
