We just closed on 898 Ailuna St. (MLS# 1000291) in Aina Haina for $780,000. Once we hit the market, my phone ran off the hook, and after back-to-back group showings, we had the place SOLD!
898 Ailuna St. SOLD after 1st showing
Aina Haina, in my opinion, is one of East Oahu’s hottest neighborhoods. Nestled between the two luxury ridges of Waiaale Iki and Hawaii Loa, Aina Haina is a great entry level single family home community. I must admit, I may be a little biased in that I used to live there for 13 years.
Not only is Aina Haina in a great location, there are several factors that will continue to create demand there:
- Aina Haina Elementary was ranked one of the best public schools in the state of Hawaii by Honolulu Magazine
- Aina Haina Shopping Center is in the process of getting a makeover
- Foodland Farms is the buzz of the town and has lofty ambitions of rivaling Whole Foods
In addition, inventory in Aina Haina has been somewhat scarce over the past several years. As of today, there are only 3 homes available (MLS# 1004184, MLS# 1003508, MLS# 1000280) of over 1,000 in the valley! Talk about no supply.

Aloha David. I love Aina Haina – I think it’s definitely one of Oahu’s “little secrets.” It’s just so special!! I was lucky enough to stay at a friend’s childhood home there one summer a few years back for a couple of weeks and I thoroughly enjoyed my walks around the neighborhood and the fact that it’s really ridiculously close to the ocean! Now with Foodland Farms… hard to beat! If I were ever to move to Oahu that’s the first place I would look to buy and now I know who to call to help me! Thanks for the great post!!
