REALTOR SALESPERSON, GREEN, MRP, PSANative to the North Shore of Oahu, Kekumunui "Kumu" Logan-Blomfield, has never strayed far from his small town roots. Growing up near the beach in Haleiwa, Kumu has always held a deep passion for the ocean and nature. As a young boy he could be found near the shoreline or in the mountains searching for new things and adventure. Always outdoors, Kumu instinctively grew an eye for natural beauty and an awareness for the land itself.
As a boarding student, Kumu graduated from Kamehameha High Schools where he excelled at both academics and sports, specifically water polo. As a young adult, Kumu attended University of Hawaii at LCC and MCC on the Island of Maui. Passionate about helping people he also began Lifeguarding part-time for Honolulu City & County, Emergency Medical Services. Working part-time on the Beaches of Waikiki Kumu quickly gained trust as a respected guardian of the sea. Within a year's time, Kumu was promoted back to his hometown to Lifeguard the world famous coastline of North Shore, Oahu where he has resided for the past seven years. In this time Kumu opened the door to active real estate thru a small but prestigious firm, Hawaii Realty Professionals, which ending 2016 was merged into Hawaii Life Realty.
Kumu's passion for exploration and travel has benefited him with personal knowledge from communities on each Hawaiian Island. Oahu, being home base is where the expertise lies and specifically the niche Coastline of Oahu's North Shore. Kumu's mission as a Realtor is to upmost service his clients, to realize a client's dreams and connect that dream to a coinciding location. Or to help a client realize their full potential of a sale with a smooth transition.
Daily Kumu lives a healthy and active lifestyle dedicated to helping others. When not helping a client reach their dream, he continues guarding lives thru Hawaiian Water Patrol, an elite hand selected group of watermen dedicated to ocean safety. He also donates his time to Surfers Healing, a non-profit group that tours around the globe to take children with Autism surfing.

When I first reached out to Kumu, I was not even sure I would move to Hawaii. This uncertainty did not deter Kumu I'm the slightest. He approached the situation as if I was a long time friend searching for a place to live and build memories. For 6 months I pointed out places I liked. For 6 months Kumu patiently waited as homes were purchased before I could make a move. Rather than view these circumstances as setbacks, Kumu made them opportunities to keep searching and refine our goals to make sure I didnt settle. Realtors can have the misperception of having a business dominated mindset interested in making the biggest commission they can regardless of a client's interest. I'll admit that I'm cautious when working with anyone in general. However, Kumu showed me what Ohana truly meant through his meticulous care and attention to all my calls, texts, and emails despite the time change. In addition to his work ethic and perseverance, Kumu made the process feel personal and genuine.
You can tell a lot about someone by who they surround themselves with. From his office to the escrow personnel, excellence permeated from all parties involved even during tense moments in negotiations and closing. Professionalism during duress is not only admirable, but refreshing as a first time buyer.
The homebuying process is stressful in general, but Kumu was able to expertly navigate the nuances that accompany a VA loan and military orders. I have ot lived in a place longer than 18 months over the last 6 years from frequent moves, but was relived to have someone assist in the process of finding a home this time around. This was by far the best experience I have had relocating and it wouldn't have been possible without Kumu's ability to balance all my questions with his responsibilities and duties as a realtor.
More often than not, I get uncomfortable when someone thanks me for my service when I'm in uniform. People like Kumu perform so many services for the community and service members without the proper recognition. As excited as I am about my new home, I am more excited about the new friendship I developed with someone who embodies the Aloha mentality and embraces people into his care and services.
Kumu was a phenomenal realtor for myself and my sister! His attention to detail, negotiation skills and ‘can do’ attitude made us extremely comfortable and appreciative of all of his efforts to get our property sold! At times when showings may have been slowing Kumu always thought of new and creative ways to bring our property front and center once again. We honestly can’t thank him enough for everything he did to sell our home. He was always extremely professional but with a kind heart that allowed us to trust and feel totally comfortable with his suggestions for getting our home sold as quickly as possible. I would highly recommend Kumu for anyone’s property needs. He gave us 150% every day of the week and was always there for us day or night! Our home selling experience wouldn’t have been the same without him.
