The 2012 HOA dues for the Waikoloa Village Association are $584. The annual dues are due on January 1 (no later than January 31) each calendar year, or may be paid in two equal increments due January 1 (no later than 1/31) and July 1 (no later than 7/31).
July 2012 is here and for some of you who only paid $292 so far this year, it is time to pay the other half of your dues in order to keep enjoying the amenities of the village. But I can hear you…A question that arises from time to time is, “what do I get for my dues payments?”
Waikoloa Village
Waikoloa Village is a housing community that is managed by a homeowners association. When a home is purchased in the village, the buyer is notified that they will become a member of the Association. As such, they are required to pay an annual dues set by a Board of Directors made up of volunteer homeowners.
What Do the Dues Go Toward?
The dues paid by homeowners go toward the operation of the Association. Included in the dues is the upkeep of the facilities that are managed by the Association, the swimming pool, tennis courts, and the administration offices.
The Association also maintains an 18-hole resort quality golf course that offers low cost golf to all homeowners and over 8,000 acres of mostly unimproved property.
A crew works to clear brush and keep the fire danger low so that the homes in the village are protected. The Board of Directors and General Manager work closely with the state ad county governments to improve the services to the village and the roads.
The Association works with homeowners to ensure that the Building Standards and the Covenants agreed to by all homeowners when they purchased their properties are followed. During the past two years, the Association has been able to perform all required duties while actually reducing costs, which resulted in keeping the dues at the 2008 level.
I live, work, and play in Waikoloa Village!

It appears that for $584 a year you really get a lot of amenities.
