For many people, Sunday is a day of relaxation, worship, and time with family for me, Sunday is fun day on Maui!
This is provided that I am not showing property, or even if I do, I try to keep myself fresh by living and loving my Maui life. This past Sunday, I had a fantastic day of sun, exercise, and tons of fun.
I started my day with a 4 mile run from Flemmings Beach in Kapalua to the cliffs overlooking Honolua Bay (pictured above) with amazing views of Molokai, and then continued down the Kapalua coastline.

After coming home and eating some breakfast, I decided to head out in search of some surf. We didn’t really have much of a swell, but I managed to find a couple small waves at Ukumehame Beach Park just outside of Lahaina town.
I really enjoy going SUP (stand-up paddling) here because the waves can get pretty good, the views of Lanai (pictured above) and Molokai are really awesome, and looking up at the valleys of the West Maui mountains makes me feel so grateful to be alive.

After all my morning activity, I was feeling quite ravenous, so I went home to my house in Napili and packed up a sandwich, and headed down to Kapalua Bay to enjoy my food and the beautiful natural surroundings.
While there, I saw this awesome local artist painting a photo of this bay that is home to fantastic snorkeling, Merrimans Kapalua Restaurant, and about a half dozen weddings per day.

On my typical afternoon run along the Kapalua Coastal Trail, I have the heartwarming experience of witnessing the joy of many couples coming from all over the world to share their nuptials on this gorgeous white sand beach.
This is a sunset shot that I got at the point that overlooks Kapalua Bay, rather romantic don’t you think?
This sign details the scenic and most flat out breathtaking experience of enjoying the Kapalua Coastal Trail. I am so grateful to end most of my days running through the pathways and the boardwalk that fronts Oneloa Bay.
The boardwalk along Oneloa Bay is fantastic for morning or evening strolls alike. I really like this beach a lot because, most times, there are only a couple people on the beach and the waves can be pretty fun as well.
On Saturday night at about 10 p.m., my fiance, Megan, and I went for a walk on the beach and had a great time dodging little sand crabs, listening to the sonorous waves, and watching falling stars.
I ended this wonderful day by walking down to Napili Bay (above) to enjoy an evening swim and to catch the sunset that warms the hearts of many very grateful individuals.
It is days like today that I feel so blessed and grateful to have been born, raised, and still call Maui my home. I love living and sharing my passion for the Maui life with like-minded individuals.

[…] I recently enjoyed the oceanfront trail that fronts the Napili Kai Resort; looking directly out toward the pristine turquoise water one can see turtles near the shore, pods of whales not too far off, stand-up paddlers getting some exercise, sailboats like the Teralani escorting snorkelers, and the stunning outlines of Lana’i and Moloka’i miles out to see. I have detailed these trails and other points of interest in a previous post: Fun Things to Do on a Sunday in Maui. […]
