Ocean views everywhere would be the way to describe the views of Hawaii Loa Ridge homes.
129 Hoimi Place (MLS# 2916023) is the Current Clubhouse for “The Pointe” and these 2.9 acres can be yours for $5.8 Million
This East Oahu Ridge Community is comprised of over 500 homes and a few vacant lots and has been built out since 1980. The entire community is gated with 24 hour guard service. This differs from some of the other ridge communities which either have only one increment gated or do not have 24-hour guard service.
Hawaii Loa also has the most amenities including a recreation area, pool, a clubhouse and the association fees are as a consequence quite a bit higher ranging from $200.00 to over $600.00 per month. Located about half way between Hawaii Kai and Kahala Mall the residents are never too far away from shopping, schools, and services.
A unique feature of hawaii Loa is access to a hiking trail that can be accessed from the community. As the article describes, there is a provision to let vehicles through the gate on a limited basis if a person in the party possesses a valid Hawaii driver’s license or ID. The hike is a beautiful way to see a panoramic vista of the island from the top and it is not too difficult.
There is also a community called The Pointe at Hawaii Loa within the Hawaii Loa community which is more exclusive having it’s own gate, tennis courts, and meeting rooms. The homes in the point are mostly larger and higher priced along with some of the more spectacular views looking from Diamond and Ewa to Koko Head and Molokai. The clubhouse is currently listed on the market for $5.8 Million for 2.9 acres and is a great buy!
Hawaii Loa has the biggest range of prices and property sizes of all of the ridge. Of the 17 active listings, 253 Puuikena Drive features the highest price tag with a 10,245 square foot home is listed at $12,500.00 built 1996 and the least expensive listing on the ridge is 1076 Ikena Circle which is 2,377 square foot home built in 1990. Six of the current listings are over 3 million dollars.
253 Puuikena Drive (MLS# 1010963) is the highest priced listing at $12.5 Million
Sales over the past year have been steady with 20 sales ranging from $1,120,000 to $3,850,000. Although some of the currently listed homes have been on the market for some time, the inventory has been reduced by the sales in the last 12 months.
